Comparison
LangShop alternative for Shopify: LangShop vs Unlost
LangShop gives you a lot of languages for very little money, which is hard to argue with. The real difference with Unlost is what happens after the first translation, when you start adding products.
We make Unlost, so read this with that in mind. Everything said about other apps comes from their own Shopify App Store listing and Shopify’s help center, checked on 7 October 2026. Prices and limits change; check the listing before you choose.
The short version
Stick with LangShop if you want many languages at a low price, or need popups, banners and third-party app content translated.
Unlost is the better fit if you add products regularly and want every new and changed text translated within a minute, without a cap on new items, and you want the text in your theme’s code translated too.
Where they really differ
Keeping up with new products. LangShop’s auto-sync of new items has a cap that depends on your plan. Unlost translates every new and changed text within a minute on all paid plans, within your monthly words.
Languages per dollar. Here LangShop wins on the sticker: its Basic plan covers five languages for $10. Unlost’s five-language plan is Growth at $29.99, with 1,000 products and 600,000 words a month. Which is better value depends on how big your store is and how often it changes.
Quality checks. Unlost keeps product names as written, checks short texts a second time, applies a glossary and tone per language, and puts uncertain translations in a review list.

What Unlost translates
Pretty much everything a shopper reads: products with their variant options, collections, pages, blog posts, menus and policies; SEO titles, meta descriptions, URL handles and image alt texts; notification emails; your theme’s texts, including text written straight into the theme’s code, like a Custom Liquid block; and the metafields your theme shows.
All of it is saved in Shopify itself, so it stays in your store if you ever remove the app. Product names stay as you wrote them, short texts like buttons and sizes get an extra check, and anything uncertain goes to a review list. Edits you make yourself are never overwritten.
