What we store, and what we don’t

We translate the texts of your store, so those texts go to our translation providers. We do not collect personal data about your customers: no names, email addresses, addresses or payment details. To show your sales in each language we read the language, total and date of your orders. The Sales page also shows which products were in those orders; it reads them from Shopify when you open the page and does not store them. Everything we store for your store is erased when you uninstall the app.

No cookies for tracking, no advertising, no analytics in the app.

Customer data

The app never asks Shopify for customer or payment data. From your orders it reads only the language the order was placed in, its total, its date and, on the Sales page, its products, without the customer’s name, email, phone number or address, so nothing we store can identify a customer. The products are shown to you only and never stored. Order totals are stored encrypted, and orders are stored without their order number. To count visits, the app embed sends only your store and the language a page is shown in, once per browser session; it sets no cookies, and we do not store IP addresses or anything else about the visitor. If Shopify sends us a customer data request or deletion request on your behalf, we confirm that we hold nothing about that person.

Both AI providers process the texts to return a translation and do not use them to train their models. Transfers outside the EU rest on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Security

Traffic runs over HTTPS. The server is reachable only over an encrypted connection with a key, the database is not reachable from the internet, and only Unlost Labs staff can reach it.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we store for your store, have it corrected, or have it erased. Write to support@unlostlabs.com from the address on your Shopify account and we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Merchants are emailed about changes that matter to them.
